The renown Mauna Lani Resort is located approximately 22 miles north of the Kona International Airport between the Waikoloa Beach Resort and the Mauna Kea Resort on the sunny Kohala Coast. It has two resort hotels, The Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows and The Fairmont Orchid. There are two championship golf courses, Mauna Lani North and South. Mauna Lani has received Golf Magazine’s Gold Medal Award every year since 1988. The Shops at Mauna Lani offers approximately 30 retail stores including Tommy Bahama’s Restaurant & Bar, Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Foodland Farm’s gourmet market. The terrain at Mauna Lani is flat and great for running or peaceful walk around the Kalahuipua’a Fishponds. Golf carts and electric vehicles are permitted within the resort.

What type of amenities are available for home owners?

The Mauna Lani Beach Club is now owned by homeowners of the Mauna Lani Resort. The Mauna Lani Resort Association, located at 68-150 Hoohana Street off North Kaniku Road, issues beach club access cards. With the access card, homeowners are able to drive to the beach club and park their car inside the gate.
Homeowners are also eligible to apply for the Advantage Club membership free of charge. The Advantage Club is managed by Mauna Lani Realty, which is owned by Tokyu Corporation in Japan. Benefits vary each year, however, discounted golf and discounted Sports and Fitness Club usage are always a part of the program. The membership requires annual renewal.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not allowed in the public area such as on Mauna Lani Drive. Most of the resort communities allow pets inside the gate, with some restrictions. Each community has its own house rules regarding pets.

Can I use my own golf cart on the Mauna Lani Golf Courses?

No.

Which condominium projects have a 2-car garage?

The Islands, the Villages, Ka Milo, Kulalani 4-plex, Na Hale at Pauoa Beach and Moani Villas at Ke Kailani owners have a 2-car garage.

Are there any restrictions regarding short-term vacation rentals?

Mauna Lani is a very popular destination for vacationers, all the communities allow short-term rentals except 49 Black Sand Beach and Nohea.

Are there timeshares?

Timeshares are not allowed anywhere in the resort.
