About Kukio

Kukio is a private equity Golf and Beach Club on the Big Island of Hawaii, located 7 miles north of the Kona International Airport. Kukio was developed by Discovery Land Company and the Kobayashi Group LLC and opened in 2002.  Homeowners at Kukio, Maniniowali, and Kaupulehu are invited for membership to Kukio.  Kukio enjoy excellent year round weather and world class amenities.  Kukio Beach Club is the nucleus of the community with easy access into the ocean, world class spa, fine dining, and two Tom Fazio golf courses. The Kukio Tom Fazio-designed golf courses are carved through lava flows infused with vibrant Sea Island Pas Palum fairways and greens making it a delight to play.  After golf, Chef Nick Mastrascusa will delight even the most discerning foodie at our two restaurant experiences, one ocean front and one mauka.

What type of amenities are available for home owners?

Club Membership is available exclusively to homeowners of Kukio, Maniniowali and Kaupulehu.  Club facilities include the 18-hole and 10-hole Tom Fazio golf courses, the Kukio Beach Club, the Maniniowali Sports Park, six Rebound Ace tennis courts, world class spa services, Concierge services, two restaurants and Kukio’s ocean activities.  Kukio’s initiation fee is $275,000 (80% equity) and dues are $57,000/year.  There is a $17,970/year Homeowner Association fee of for common area maintenance, security, etc. for all property owners.

Can I use my own golf cart on the Kukio golf courses?
